Designing with Architectural Principles, Materiality, Context and User
In this final project, we were required to have a detail study on our given site, Subang Ria Recreational Park and to design a solitary haven in relation to the site contexts and its responses. We will have to apply the chosen principle and intention into our design. The solitary haven would be a space to accommodate 2 person.
BAMBOO LABYRINTH
When the pandemic first started, it was chaotic. We had no idea what was going on and what to do. This time, physical interaction was prohibited, and social distancing was implemented. Non-physical interaction became a new norm to remain contact with each other. Online communication platforms became a must to carry out works and studies.
In relation to this, a 'maze' concept was used to reenact the initial situation of the pandemic. The idea was to design a space , according to the rules of social distancing, as well as encouraging non-physical interaction.
